Intersil has introduced a single-cell boost converter that can deliver 5V at 400mA at efficiencies around 90%across a Li-ion cell operating range.
It will also deliver 5V 100mA from 1.2V at around 80%efficiency,and will work down to 0.8V in,allowing it to operate from alkaline and NiMH cells.
"These converters are ideal for single-cell Li-Ion powered products incorporating USB on-the-go[OTG]capability,"claimed the firm.
